The One Club for Creativity hosts an annual portfolio review called Portfolio Night in which creatives from around the world compete for a chance to travel to New York City and work on a real-world brand brief. I was honored to win the “All-Star” title in my local competition and spent a week in New York collaborating with people from around the globe on a brief for Spotify.

At the end of an intense but amazing week, my team and our pitch were picked as the Portfolio Night All-Star winners by Spotify’s creative team. Our pitch to push Spotify’s podcast awareness was called “Recommended By You”- a word of mouth campaign aimed at giving listeners the power to influence their friends.

 

Based on the truth that podcast awareness is brought about mainly through word-of-mouth recommendations, “Recommended By You” puts the advertising power of a massive corporation into the hands of the listeners.
